UVM's challenge

UVM has campuses all over Mexico. Training its sales team in person meant travel and mobility costs.

On top of that, much of the team are millennials looking for something different from traditional training.

  • Reach every campus in the country equally.
  • Save on travel and mobility.
  • Engage a young team that wants a challenge.

The solution

The university chose the Game Strategies platform: it's user-friendly and lets the management team play together, whether they're in Mexico City, Mexicali or Veracruz.

The games they've used most are Pacific and Merchants. Participants study, play and learn, and also get printable content and cards to follow up on what they've learned.

In their own words

It doesn't matter whether you're in Mexico City, on the Mexicali campus or in Veracruz: it lets you have the whole management team connected and playing.

Participants live the experience: they study, play and learn, and they also get really interesting content they can print out afterwards to follow up.

We have a lot of millennials. The game itself challenges them, and that's something they really like.

The results

UVM gets the reach it wants as an institution and saves on all the travel.

The sales team particularly enjoys the challenges built into the training: they feel the game itself is challenging them, which makes it feel unlike any other course.
